Takekurabe Hiroba Square
The weeping cherry blossoms open right after the Yoshino Cherry season, presenting a peaceful, elegant view. Craft markets are held under the cheery trees in full bloom.
Mikuni Shrine , Mikuni Minato-machi quarters
Held by Mikuni Shrine. The highlight of this festival is on May 20th, when the dashi(floats)-nearly 6 meters high-parade through the town, representing the spirit and prosperity of this old harbor city.
You can enjoy elegant view of brightly colored lilies in full bloom in the cultivated garden for exhibition inside the park. We also hold various events besides providing exhibition of lilies and an activity corner.
Mikuni Sunset Beach , The Kuzuryu River Boat Park
One of the biggest fireworks festivals in Hokuriku District, well-known for its fantastic displays launched from the surface of the Sea of Japan. The festival brings visitors from all over the District.

Mikuni Minato-machi (old district of Mikuni Town)
Dancers in summer kimono called yukata walk in procession dancing gracefully in the summer evening to a Japanese folk song accompanied by shamisen, a traditional Japanese guitar, and fifes along the street of old district of Mikuni Town illuminated by paper lanterns. “Obi no machi” refers to “a town with narrow streets like kimono sash belts”. The name of this event derives from long, narrow streets in old district of Mikuni Town that people dance and walk along. The venue: Mikuni Minato-machi (old district of Mikuni Town)
