This ship model recreates a Bezai ship capable of carrying 1,000 koku of rice at a scale of 1/5.
It was constructed over three years starting in 1976 (Showa 51) under the supervision of Kenji Ishii, a leading authority on shipbuilding history.
Crafted from fine materials including zelkova wood, it features meticulous details from the bow to the stern, including the catwalk, deck, and even the interior.

在造船史研究权威石井谦治先生的监修下，历时三年余于1976年（昭和51年）完成制作。

천 석의 쌀을 실을 수 있는 베자이선을 5분의 1 스케일로 재현한 선박 모형입니다.
조선사 연구의 권위자 이시이 겐지 씨의 감수 아래 1976년(쇼와 51년)부터 3년여에 걸쳐 제작되었습니다.
목재도 아름다운 것을 고르며 느티나무 등을 사용해, 앞쪽의 밧줄, 고양이, 전제선(傳第船)부터 선내까지 정교하게 제작되었습니다.
